PRESENTATIONS III: THE REVENGE

WELCOME BAAAACK I'M RUNNING OUT OF TIME LMAO LET'S DO IT.

On Thursday we keep reviewing the different intelligence with groupal expositions. It was fine.

Intrapersonal Intelligence

This is the intelligence of the people that is highly aware of their emotions, self-perception, and how to control them in order to have a good performance of their feelings. Also, people with this intelligence have a developed intuition and solving-problems skills. 

A good way to develop this intelligence is to try to meditate, write down your thoughts on a diary/journal and write an autobiography (this last one surprised me, I have never considered this step).

For this presentation, the activity was based on emotions (of course) and the group made this cute emotes. So the people who participate took one random emoji and talked about one experience with that specific emotion. Cute and emotional. 👍👏

Naturalist Intelligence

I LOVE THIS ONE. It was pretty interesting, I did not know it was actually a kind of intelligence but it make sense since there are people who have excellent gardering skills while I try to grow up a cactus but it's impossible.


People with this type of intelligence are able to empathize with nature, recognize wild or domestic species, know how to deal with flora and fauna, and know everything about the environment technically and theoretically.

I think it is one of the most undervalued intelligences. Anyone can fix a watch by reading instructions, but create life? Raise living beings?  That is a gift. I think people with this intelligence are whimsical.

For this activity, participants were instructed to put their hands through the opening of a box and guess what they were touching: there was a pine cone, a lemon, a rose, and a stone. I wanted the stone... or the lemon, the lemon is very expensive.

Visual-spatial Intelligence This was our presentation. Of course, we slayed. 💋 So as I mentioned in the previous entry, Visual-Spatial intelligence is the intelligence of people who are not as clumsy as we are. Ironically, none of us wanted this topic but well, things happened and we are God's fave clowns. The dynamic for this presentation was the following: to built a square using rectangle-shaped pieces of paper. I don't remember its name but lol it reminds me of Tetris. Our classmates loved this activity, just look at them, they look like those teenagers that appears in English texbooks.  Logical-mathematical Intelligence This is the kind of intelligence of people who were not afraid to study a major with Math as a subject (unlike me. COLABORATIVE APPROACH

Hi, welcome back to this low-budged blog 😸🙌 In the last lessons we reviewed the Collaborative Approach method. But what is that? Well, the name of this method give us some clues about what is this, but in a brief, this is based on getting students to work together according to a specific topic, exchange ideas and discuss them with their peers.  Also in this class we reviewed the "Community Language Learning", "task-based", and "content-based". But what is this? COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING:  A proper way to describe this method is: "I need my TRIBE to back me up!" in Spanish is: "Mi barrio me respalda 🤑" Students are supposed to create friendly boundaries with their classmates. TASK-BASED:  Students do small tasks together to achieve something bigger, each one has a small role for a big goal.  Basically, ant work. CONTENT-BASED : The last step in which the student is able to create something of their own based on the previous content....

 This methodology of learning/teaching languages is based on the idea that teachers should be as quiet as possible during a class and let students speak more and more. This method was created by Caleb Gattegno. The Silent method puts emphasis on the student's autonomy to learn a language with less teacher intervention, turning the role of the teacher into a "monitor" role. The aforementioned method  also puts a great emphasis on correct pronunciation from the very beginning. HOW DOES IT WORK?
