COLABORATIVE APPROACH
Hi, welcome back to this low-budged blog πΈπ
In the last lessons we reviewed the Collaborative Approach method. But what is that? Well, the name of this method give us some clues about what is this, but in a brief, this is based on getting students to work together according to a specific topic, exchange ideas and discuss them with their peers.
Also in this class we reviewed the "Community Language Learning", "task-based", and "content-based".
But what is this?
COMMUNITY LANGUAGE LEARNING: A proper way to describe this method is: "I need my TRIBE to back me up!" in Spanish is: "Mi barrio me respalda π€" Students are supposed to create friendly boundaries with their classmates.
TASK-BASED: Students do small tasks together to achieve something bigger, each one has a small role for a big goal. Basically, ant work.
CONTENT-BASED: The last step in which the student is able to create something of their own based on the previous content.
More than a theoretical lesson, this week's class was focused on practice. First, the teacher assigned us a color and accordingly, we found a couple with the same color that we got, and we talked about our point of view regarding the topic that the teacher asked us to talk about. I don't remember the question (as always), but my friend Herrera and I slayed after sharing our humble opinion ππ

After this short practice, the professor asked us to join in teams of four and create a fictional nation with its respective ministries: Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education. I was the Ministry of Education, and of course, as a fan of international relations and politics, DEVORΓ π
And I honestly I don't remember the context of this game but my friend Daniela and I quedamos π€‘ after we thought we could complete this tricky game first than anyone else. Daniela is super competitive so she got frustrated, she was like "*se frustra en chiquito* xd". Anyway, the goal of this game was to see if we could get untangled of a lace (gone wrong, we couldn't)
